AFPA’s activities at your service
AFPA provides operational support to carry out your projects.
Actions are usually funded by international sponsors, especially the European Commission. AFPA operates within consortiums together with public institutions and private firms.
Setting Up Guidance, Training and Accreditation Systems
- supports training centres’ creation or rehabilitation,
- leads studies to adapt training to labour market needs,
- contributes to establishing guidance networks,
- designs procedures for Accreditation of Prior Learning (A.P.L.).
Russia : To reinforce Russian vocational training and adjust it to the labour market, a skill assessment programme was developed on the basis of the A.P.L. model.
Assist Vocational Training Professionals
- the Association leads technical and pedagogical training for local trainers, either on-site or on AFPA premises,
- in the long run, it allows local trainers to take over from French teams.
Montenegro : AFPA helped set up a system of education and vocational training. The system was designed to be flexible and meet market needs.
Two main actions were taken:
> enhance the skills of the Vocational Training Centre and the new training centres
>increase social partners’ role
Developing New Services
- provides pedagogical and technical assistance,
- develops and implements innovative training methods,
- helps training organisations to design new products.
Telestia : European project for online sewing training
Pedagogical and technical design of distance and open learning modules
Implementation of the modules, coupled with the viewing of shorts films about production processes and professional moves
Partnership between a Greek training organisation, a British university and AFPA.
